The
legs are made from the standard Armaflex pipe insulation, and painted
charcoal gray. I used latex paint for all the flexible parts, and
applied it with a foam brush. No "brush marks" are visible
anywhere. I noticed that some folks had trouble with paint cracking,
so I went this route.
The zipper was made from a strip of rubber truck bed insulation. The plates are 3/8 finished plywood.

UPDATE
These
were long overdue for replacement. The originals were stretched too
tightly and were flattened. The new ones were done properly and are
15 inches in height compared to the previous set that was 13 inches.
They're now also the proper width at the top. A new waist plate was
also made.
I
tried making furry legs for the winter months, but decided against
it.
