Debbie the bloop died in the late 90s
of 87 (chimp years). She was admitted to the Marin County old chimp's
home in the late 80s after suffering a stroke while filming a car commercial
for a local Ford dealership in Van Nuys. Contrary to common belief,
no "head piece" was used, Debbie had a rare condition known
as Cranius Bloopus, in which large bat-like ears and an oversized skull
develop at 6 months. This was of course perfect for her character on
Lost In Space.
She suffered no ill effects other than looking strange.
